It was a long-time dream to join thousands of other young pilgrims in Rome with the Pope for a group of young Australians and New Zealanders, but for some the reality surpassed their imaginations, as they came face to face with Pope Francis.

The Prelate of Opus Dei, Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz spent one week in Nigeria from 19 to 26 July 2018. During this time, he met with hundreds of faithful of the Prelature and their friends. This video is a quick snapshot of the packed week.

Invited by Jesús Sanz Montes, the Archbishop of Oviedo, Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz went on pilgrimage to the shrine of Covadonga to participate in the Marian Jubilee Year of the Coronation of the Virgin. He prayed before the Virgin in the Holy Cave and concelebrated Mass with Archbishop Sanz Montes and Don Adolfo Mariño, abbot of Covadonga.
